General information: The Dark Tower is a film by Nikolaj Arcel who's known for his novel adaptations such as The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo. The Dark Tower itself is an adaptation of the novel of Stephen King's novel series of the same name. It stars Idris Elba and Matthew McCognaughey. The Dark Tower hit theaters back in the 4th of August 2017. The budget for this film was 66 million USD and it made a total of 113.2 million USD. Genre: The Dark Tower is known as a science fantasy Western Action film, and I think that's a perfect classification.
