Enola Holmes: An Actual Good Netflix Film.
THIS BLOG DOES NOT CONTAIN SPOILERS.
If you're reading this, you've probably heard me ranting about how bad Netflix is. I still think that all streaming services are bad for cinema, and that Netflix original films are not that good. HOWEVER, this film is ACTUALLY good.

General information:
Enola Holmes is a Netflix Original film directed by Harry. The screenplay of the film was written by Jack Thorne. Enola Holmes stars Millie Bobby Brown as Enola, Louis Partridge, Henry Cavill and Sam Claflin as Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes and Helena Bonham as Eudoria Holmes.
Enola Holmes was released on Netflix on September 23, 2020.
The budget for Enola Holmes was $110 million, and it made a total of $226 million in revenue!
Genre:
Enola Holmes is a crime/adventure film. They left no room for me to critisize that!
Awards:
The film hasn't won any awards yet.
Story:
After the intelligent witty Enola wakes up on the day of her 16th birthday, she finds out that her mother is missing. Upon being attached to her mom, Enola goes on a journey to look for her. During her journey, she meets Tewksbury - a young boy descending from a rich family whom is a fugitive himself!
Because Enola is Mycroft Holmes' sister (yes THE Mycroft Holmes), he strives to find her and bring her home and uses his influences and power in order to accomplish that.
What do I think about it?
Enola Holmes is hands-down my favorite Netflix Original film.
Yes,I always rant about how Netflix and similar streaming services are bad for the film industry, however, Netflix did a REALLY good job on this one.
Apart from the amazing story which is based upon a series of books by Nancy Springer, the consistency of the timeline and the marvelous story-telling is what makes Enola Holmes so special.
Before the film was released, I was afraid that Millie Bobby Brown would be stuck in her role in Stranger Things "Eleven"(sorry Millie if you're reading this, I can explain). However, her AMAZING performance left me surprised and made the film much more entertaining than it already is.
Not many people talk about what I'm about to say. HENRY CAVILL'S PERFORMANCE WAS HIGHLY UNDERRATED. Henry brought so much to the character of Sherlock Holmes, his charismatic nature was a big plus too (Netflix please make a Sherlock Holmes series with him). Please don't tell RDJ or Bennedict Cumberbatch but I am #teamhenry.
The directing, cinematography, lighting, soundtracks are all fascinating aspects of Enola Holmes.

Quotes from the film:
Eudoria Holmes: "There are two paths you can take. Yours, or the path others choose for you." -
Eudoria Holmes: "There'll come a time when you have to make a hard choice. And, in that moment, you will discover what mettle you truly have, and what you're prepared to risk, for what matters."
Sherlock Holmes: "It's always there, the truth. You just need to look for it."
Sherlock Holmes: "The choice is always yours. Whatever society may claim, it can't control you."
It's a good film. GO WATCH IT.
Until later this is Ziyad signing out. Have a good day!
