Dallas Buyers Club: A masterpiece.

THIS ARTICLE DOES NOT CONTAIN SPOILERS. I open Netflix (don't come at me pls). I click on this random film called Dallas Buyers Club just because Matthew McConaughey is on the poster. Thirty minutes into the film, my phone rings 36 times, but I ignore it because I am too hooked enjoying this masterpiece that I have stumbled upon. That's how good Dallas Buyers Club is.  General information: Dallas Buyers Club is an American  biographical drama film by Jean-Marc Vallée. The screenplay for the film was written by Craig Borten and Melisa Wallack.  Dallas Buyers Club stars Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto (yes THE Jared Leto). Upon its release on September 7, 2017, the film grossed over $52 million, with a budget of $5 million! Awards:  Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role: Matthew McConaughey. Enola Holmes: An Actual Good Netflix Film.

THIS BLOG DOES NOT CONTAIN SPOILERS.  If you're reading this, you've probably heard me ranting about how bad Netflix is. I still think that all streaming services are bad for cinema, and that Netflix original films are not that good. HOWEVER, this film is ACTUALLY good.  General information: Enola Holmes is a Netflix Original film directed by Harry. The screenplay of the film was written by Jack Thorne. Enola Holmes stars Millie Bobby Brown as Enola, Louis Partridge, Henry Cavill and Sam Claflin as Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes and Helena Bonham as Eudoria Holmes. Enola Holmes was released on Netflix on September 23, 2020. The budget for Enola Holmes  was  $110 million, and it made a total of $226 million in revenue! Genre:  Enola Holmes is a crime/adventure film. They left no room for me to critisize that! R.I.P.D: Most Hated Film in 2013.

   THIS BLOG DOES NOT CONTAIN SPOILERS.  Cinema is art, and art is subjective - therefore cinema is subjective right? Well please don't hate me on what I'm about to say. Action/Comedy films are overrated. There it is, I said it. HOWEVER, the film R.I.P.D that falls into the said genre is VERY GOOD.  General information: R.I.P.D or Rest In Peace Department is a film by Robert Schwentke who is known for directing the novel based Divergent films. R.I.P.D is based on a comic by Peter Lenkov. It stars Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds. R.I.P.D was released in theaters on July 19, 2013. The good news is that it is available to watch on Netlfix. The budget for the film was 130 million USD, sadly it ended up making only 78 million USD, making it a "critican and commercial failure".  Genre:  R.I.P.D is a sci-fi action comedy film - and that couldn't be more accurate. The Dark Tower: An Underrated Movie.

  THIS BLOG DOES NOT CONTAIN SPOILERS.  Being a movie enthusiast, I feel like I have watched all movies. If you're like me, I bet you never heard of this film. The film is called The Dark Tower. General information: The Dark Tower is a film by Nikolaj Arcel who's known for his novel adaptations such as The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo. The Dark Tower itself is an adaptation of the novel of Stephen King's novel series of the same name. It stars Idris Elba and Matthew McCognaughey. The Dark Tower hit theaters back in the 4th of August 2017. The budget for this film was 66 million USD and it made a total of 113.2 million USD.  Genre:  The Dark Tower is known as a  science fantasy Western Action  film, and I think that's a perfect classification.  Awards:  Unfortunately, The Dark Tower didn't actually receive any awards, but here is a nomination that I found quite funny:  Nominated for the Biggest Dissapointment Of The Year award at the Golde...

THIS BLOG DOES NOT CONTAIN SPOILERS.  If you know me, you would've guessed by now that my first post in this blog will be about Interstellar , my favorite movie! General information: Interstellar is a movie directed by the one and only Christopher Nolan starring  Matthew McCougnaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Bill Irwin, Ellen Burstyn, Matt Damon and Micheal Caine.  It hit movie theaters on Oct. 26, 2014. The budget for this movie was 165 million USD and it made a total of 677 million USD in revenues.  Genre:  Interstellar is known as a science fiction movie, but I personally like to see it as a scientific thriller.
